Welding Blankets Rolls provide protection when working on any light to heavy-duty welding or grinding application. It is made of high-quality fibreglass cloth，coated fiberglass fabric, silica fabric， with a high melting point and excellent heat and chemical resistance. This flame retardant blanket is highly flexible and folds up compactly for quick transport and organization.
● Welding blanket is an ideal protective device for large shopping malls, supermarkets and recreational facilities where welding and cutting have to be conducted.
● Welding blanket can effectively separate objects from heat sources and spark-spreading zones to block or isolate the fire.
● Welding blanket is also the ideal packing material to wrap objects and equipment with a rough surface.
Features
InsoFire offers customers the chance to tailor custom-made protection blankets for welding, cutting and grinding operations, according to the client’s need and with different flame retardant fabrics in relation to the kind of welding that is going to be performed. The perimeter is reinforced with a bias and also InsoFire offers the opportunity to incorporate metallic grommets on each 50 cm to ease its holding.

How to choose welding blanket or cloth?
1. Select application.
General applications of welding blanket or cloth:
● Light duty - general purpose welding, light sparks and small spatter. Not recommended for horizontal application.
● Medium duty - heavier welding, sparks, spatter and light slag.
● Heavy duty - heavy sparks, spatter, slag and molten metal.
● Stress relief - choose soft materials recommended for Stress relief applications. The coated materials usually are not recommended for stress relief applications.
2. Determine dimensions of area to be protected.
● InsoFire provides welding cloth in roll form or in prefabricated blankets. Consider dimensions of area to be protected and determine what form is suitable.
3. Select the finished blanket or cloth.
● Stiff material coated material has better abrasion resistance. Stiffer to allow spatter and slag to roll off easily.
● Soft material without coated material is pliable. This material is easy to be draped over and wrapped around objects. It's usually used for stress relief applications.
● Weight and thickness of material: the heavier and thicker material provide better protection and take longer to burn through.
