● Silica cloth is manufactured by densely weaving continuous filament silica yarns to create a smooth fabric with good tensile strength. It contains more than 96% SiO2, so it is high temperature resistance. Its softening point approaches 1700°C and can be used at 1000°C for a long time. It can work short-term at 1500°C.
● High silica glass fiber cloth is applicable for use as a high temperature resistant, heat resistant, fire resistant, and corrosion resistant material. It is widely used in aviation and aerospace, metallurgy, chemical, building material and fire fighting industry. Apart from applications requiring high temperature-resistance, it is also has insulation and fire prevention uses. Such as Thermal insulation covers, padding, lagging, welding blanket, fire curtain and other heavy duty fire control system. Silica cloth is suitable for coating with difference elastomer and polymers.
● The material can be used as a substitute for ceramic cloths due to its resistance to elevated temperatures and molten splash. It is frequently used for bespoke straight sleeves/connectors, turbine insulation, welding blankets/covers, expansion joints and furnace linings.
● Silica cloth can be supplied cut to size, by the roll, or manufactured to suit your bespoke requirements. It is also available to buy online at PAR Direct by clicking the link above.
